Today I had brunch with my friends Laura and Jenny. It's sort of amazing how I became friends with these women -- although they each have an online presence, I actually met them before I knew of either of their sites. Since then, we often see each other at events or lunches or meetings that are primarily focused on blogging (as today's was), but we've also become really good friends, using each other as sounding boards for our professional and personal lives as well.

So often in this wild, weird online world, we get to know each other by our sites first, and then in person. With these two lovely women, I had the opportunity to learn about them first in person, long before they became internet rock stars. And for this, I'm really, really grateful.
