I went into the office today, but it was silent -- most people had chosen to take the day off. So I ducked out early, took my Barnes & Noble Christmas gift card to the store (thanks, Marcus!), bought a journal, some coloured markers and The Kite Runner, and treated myself to some solo reading time over late lunch and a coffee.

A lovely way to ease out of the holiday chaos of the past few days.
