So, remember my dilemma? The one where I asked if you'd choose between Path A (with more potential to feed your creative side) or Path B (the more practical, relatively more lucrative path)?

Well, as many of you suspected, the dilemma wasn't hypothetical. And today, I officially chose Path B.

I so appreciated all of your insights (which continue to come in!). They really made me stop and think, and I took every one of your suggestions to heart. It was because of you that I felt bold enough to suggest certain conditions under which I would accept the proposal that was being offered to me, the biggest of which was that I wanted to work from home. To my surprise and delight, they agreed.

So in about a month, I'll no longer be working at Very Very Large Corporation, but instead, I'll be working at Smaller Corporation In Rapid Growth Mode. I'll be working with people I enjoy (since I've worked with many of them before), and I'll be practicing law again in a field that I like. I'll be able to do it at home, somewhat on my own schedule, allowing me to more easily fit in time to exercise my relatively new-found creativity. And most importantly, I'll be able to continue to jealously protect quality time I can spend with the little face you see above.

So again, thanks. You really did help. Also, even though it goes without saying, I'll continue to update Chookooloonks daily, if only to ensure I keep my photography chops sharp.
